Dizzy's Coca-Cola will be mixing up some cool ditties next week, and we're talking musical numbers and cocktails. On February 6, the hip spot in Jazz at Lincoln Center will play host to a Genever and Jazz night. Apparently, musicians ranging from Ray Charles to Sidney Bechet were fans of the gin-esque spirit in the post-prohibition era (did you know that Ray Charles had a rider in his contrac saying that a bottle of Bols Genever had to be in his dressing room before each show?).
To celebrate this pairing, a three course meal will be paired with classic and contemporary cocktails, and the Gerald clayton Jazz trio will performing. There's also a VIP cocktail hour - the price is $80 per person, which is actually a bargain. Get tickets and info here.
