We all know that alcohol can lead to destructive behavior when consumed irresponsibly. At least, we thought everyone knew that. Five inmates in an Idaho prison must have missed that public service announcement, because they just filed a lawsuit against the major liquor companies, claiming that booze is responsible for their crimes.
Ummm, what? The general gist is that the felons claim they wouldn’t have committed their crimes (which include manslaughter and assault) were it not for booze, and they wouldn’t have started drinking if they knew how dangerous and addictive alcohol could be. Well, if we’re not buying this, we doubt any judge in the world will. We wonder if they can get a few years added onto their sentences for filing ridiculous lawsuits. Read about the case here.
