This week, the folks over at Zagat (including yours truly - ahem) had a cocktail-themed week of coverage. They polled readers to investigate drinking habits, and found that over 1/3 of people prefer Whiskey as their favorite beverage. Though we're a gin fan at NY Barfly, we respect the everyday drinker's commitment to brown boozing.
The must read article is the 10 most annoying cocktail trends because let's be honest, we all have pet peeves while at the bar. Of course cost is going to be one of the most cringe-worthy issues when going out, but other thins that annoyed were metal straws (here here!), floral liquors and small serving glasses (sure, coupes are cute and all, but we really could use another ounce.
