The last few Halloweens have been all about vampires - we're a fan of all things fang, but we're kind of over it now. That's why we like the Wolf's Blood cocktail that's being served for the season at Edi and the Wolf in the East Village. It's about time the werewolf had its day. Oh, and it contains a bunch of tasty ingredients, so Halloween or not we're dropping by to down a few of these suckers (but not blood-suckers!)
The best part? If you howl like a wolf, you can get the drink for free. Starting Saturday and through Halloween proper, the libation will be gratis for all of those willing to go a little lupine (aka embarrass themselves in front of the other patrons). We're thinking you've done more embarrassing things for a free drink, so looking to the moon and letting loose should be no problem.
If you can't deal with the shame, you can check out the recipe below. The beverage is a nice preview of what will be on offer at The Third Man, a new cocktail bar from the Edi crew that is slated to open next month.
