October 31 is notoriously an amateur’s night in NYC – everyone and their sisters from New Jersey come in from out of town (and, even worse, their sister is dressed like a sexy cat). If you try a little harder, you can actually find parties worth attending. Hint: if you’re thinking of going to the West Village, stay away. Evelyn Drinkery in Alphabet City has been generating some good buzz among cocktail peeps, so we’re excited for their Mahogany Hall Bordello Ball. The New Orleans-themed shindig promises a sophisticated option for the spooky holiday. How can you say no to a party that promotes itself with the phrase “for gentlemen, madames and ladies of the night?”
