Home brewing has always fascinated us, if only because we can’t figure out where people keep all the equipment in their tiny New York City apartments. Well, maybe they will answer that question on October 20, when chef Nick Meyer is going to lead a course on at-home suds making at the International Culinary Center. This one-day course takes place from 9 AM to 2:30 PM and it will go into extract brewing with specialty grains.
Students will get to observe and assist in brewing a batch of beer – which means it will be just like college, except you will be making brew rather than guzzling it and subsequently missing your classes. You’ll get to take home a few bottles of the finished product as well. The course is $195 per student and you can get more info here. If anything, we expect that you’ll be able make some new friends and go grab a brewski with them after you’re finished. Get info here.
