People ask us the same question a lot: which new bar is worth trying out? Well, last weekend we went back to one new watering hole and confirmed a sneaking suspicion that we’ve had since our first visit. Yep, the Nomad Hotel is the city’s best new bar, and the amazing drinks being served there rival those being poured at the city’s finest establishments like PDT and Death and Co.
So – what does the Nomad do right? First up – the environment. The Library Bar is the place to be. While it’s spacious enough that there’s never really too long a wait for a table, it's small enough that it feels intimate and special. The regular bar is no joke either – we didn’t mind chilling at one of the stand-up tables on a recent visit, and the staff were happy to transfer our tab over once our name was called.
The truly special thing about this joint is the cocktail list, natch. Just when you think you’ve seen everything modern mixology can do (which can easily push elaborate drinks into parody territory), the bartenders here have come up with some truly innovative mix ups. The thai-chili infused aperol in the Satan’s Circus will have you applauding the devil’s carnival and the orange blossom water in the Orange Julius is refreshing without being sweet. Work with the staff to pick a drink that’s right for you, but you can’t really go wrong. This is the must-try bar of the moment, we suggest you head over.
The Nomad Hotel is located at 1170 Broadway.
