And now the flavor of liqueur you've all been waiting for - Cow Pie! Ok, no one was actually waiting for that flavor, but it's not as scary as you think. This neutral grain spirit from Travis Hasse's Pie Liqueur company is flavored with chocolate, caramel and vanilla. Good, because when we first heard the name, we were thinking it had other things in the mix. Other horrible things.
The new label comes after the success of Apple Pie and Cherry Pie flavors from the Wisconsin-based brand. It's actually named after a traditional candy that's available in The Badger State, where residents apparently gobble up anything that's named after bovine waste. Baraboo Candy Company has produced the chocolate treats for over 30 years - we've never tried them but we're adding it to our list.
It's recommended that you drink your Cow Pie as a chilled shot, or in the form of a "Cow-a-Bunga," which is a mix of Cow Pie Liqueur and peppermint schnapps.
