Funny – a couple weeks ago we pointed out that white whiskey is the trendy category of the moment, and now a new label has launched that totally backs that up. White Pike Whiskey is the newest brand on the market, and this one has some local pedigree. It’s farmed, distilled and bottled locally in Schuyler County, New York – when we have trouble picking a bottle to buy, we always go with the one that comes from nearby. After all, you might end up bumping into the farmer at a bar or something – awkward!
The hooch is made from corn, spelt and malted wheat and the makers really play up its mixability. Since it is so clear and smooth, it works really well in cocktails. You can read more about it here, and keep an eye out for it at your local liquor store.
