Need a cocktail to make for the old-fashioned mixer you plan to hold as a summer kick-off? Famed bartender Sasha Petraske has a suggestion, even if you would never do something so lame as hold an “old-fashioned mixer.” At the recent Manhattan Cocktail Classic, the mixologist dubbed the caipirinha the “thinking man’s margarita” and named it one of his top three favorites to make for parties.
And when Sasha talks, New York booze hounds listen. The recipe is pretty simple to make, it utilizes Cuca Fresca Silver Cachaca as a base, and mixes in lime and sugar.
Take a look at the recipe while you figure out something else to call your party. Why not be honest and send the invitation out to your derelict friends with five words: get drunk tomorrow, my place.
