Party in the Basement: The ACE Hotel's Liberty Hall

What’s the story with the ACE Hotel's supposed “event space” Liberty Hall? Is it truly off limits to the drinking public, or do the words "event space" mean “bar open to the public” in ACE speak?

Well, as you’ll see in our review of the spot for Metromix, it’s kind of a combination of the two. The cool kids can get down in the basement (make out party, anyone?) on most nights, and billing it as an event space means that they never have to finish building an actual bar.
