As the drinkers of world know, St. Patrick’s Day approaches. That’s all in good fun, but we think the drinking culture that surrounds this holiday can use some gussying up. Green beer? Bah. Luckily Bar Seven Five – the new cocktail den in the Andaz Hotel on Wall Street – is a house of class. They’ve come up with an Irish Whiskey Punch that puts other watery St. Pat’s drinks to shame.
If you haven’t heard, Bar Seven Five puts a new spin on the typical hotel bar. Instead of a bar, their tenders stand at little drink stations throughout the room. The cocktails come to you on drink carts that were inspired by the lush Pullman rail cars of the ‘20’s. You should check out this write up on Metromix to get a scoop on the scene (and see some more writing by yours truly).
Here’s a peek at the recipe for their Whiskey Punch. We figured you’ll need it now, as a good St. Pat’s Day drinking strategy is planned well in advance.
