-The Tiki Community is abuzz about the soon to open tiki spot Painkiller. This spot promises to do tiki drinks right, but in keeping with New York style. We’re not sure what this means, but surely “new york style” involves coconuts.

-There’s a new food news blog in town. Check out NBC’s Feast. Also, if you like movies about crazy monsters trying to eat drinkers barricaded in a Texas bar, check out the movie of the same name.

-The Misshapes DJs played the top of the Standard the other night. Ah, that makes us nostalgic. Remember when it was called the Boom Boom Room?
