Happiness in New York depends on having an awesome neighborhood bar. You head there when it is too snowy to head anywhere else, when you are just back from vacation and have your suitcases with you, on your last stop of an awesome night out.
The Onion AV Club has a list of some top neighborhood bars (some suggestions contributed by yours truly). Which of these are worth leaving your neighborhood for?
After a little thought, 11th Street Bar is one of the best on the list. It’s everything a neighborhood bar should be, though it doesn’t have a shuffleboard table like the Nancy Whiskey Bar. Can we give these two bars some drinks, have them get together, and let them spread their delightful little bastard children all over town?
While we wait for that to happen, we’ll be at the other bars on the list, having a drink.
