What's the Deal with Superdive?

In a move that seems eerily like shit-show Su Casa, Superdive has a sign on their door claiming “winter hours”. The space is only open on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for the next few months.

We tried to stop by on a recent Wednesday night and the door was indeed locked.  They’ve gotten a ton of press, the keg service is all the rage, but maybe the crowds just aren’t coming? Drop off Service and other neighborhood spots were packed.  Looks like this is the beginning of the end for Superdive.

Or, maybe it’s just an elaborate ruse to really live up to their branding. If you’re billing yourself as one of the city’s best dives, then maybe it's fitting that you can’t pull it together and do really hard things like stay open.
