The Times bowled a strike yesterday with this article linking the state of the economy to the city’s bowling alleys. Some interesting things we didn’t know about bowling in the city:
-There are currently 23 Bowling Alleys in the city.
-Thomas Shannon, the chief executive of Bowlmor Lanes, really doesn’t like bowling leagues judging by this description: “They want the cheapest, most miserable experience,” Mr. Shannon said. “I would describe it as a Stalinist experience.”
-Bowlmor is planning a new alley in the New York Time’s building. Fun, especially because it’s costing 20 million. Yow-za.
Does all of this mean that we should start improving our score? We bet, with a lot of hard work, we can get up to a 73 by the time the new Bowlmor opens!
Bowling seems like a great idea!! It's not only fun but keeps you active as well. Another fun activity could be learning to dance! - salsa, ballroom, tango, you name it! We are currently feature a month-long dance lessons at DanceSport at 75% off- $35! Bring your friends or come and meet new people! Check it out at www.scoop.st - Sunmi
