Forget Restaurant Week, the real deal is at the Lower East Side beer garden Loreley (7 Rivington Street). This Wednesday at 7pm, the restaurant plays host to a beer tasting. For only $33 (which includes tax and tip) you’ll get a three course dinner, tastings of 9 different German brews, and a discussion of beer making with Rudi Eilers, a German beer expert.
You can’t beat that price, especially for German deliciousness like the pork roast stuffed with dried plums that is on the menu for the evening. Beers include Schneider Weisse Original (known as “The Queen of German Beers”), Jever Pilsner, and Erdinger Dark wheat beer.
You can purchase tickets in advance at this website. How do you say hell’s yeah in German?
