Looks like employees know how to look a gift horse in the mouth, especially when said gift horse is drunk off his ass. A patron walked into a Taco Bell (ooh, can’t you just smell the punch line coming) and paid $77 for a $.99 cent taco. The dude, although drunk, told the employees to keep the cash as a Christmas gift. What did they do?
The Taco Bell employees weren't quite sure what to do next, so they called the Perkins Township Police, located right across the street from their restaurant.
The employees say they suspected the man was intoxicated and feared he may come back for his money.
Police say they have the money in their possession...for now. But, if the man doesn't come forward to claim his money in the next 30 days, it goes back to the employees at the Taco Bell.
Employees tell Fox 8 News they're not sure what they'll do with the money if they get it back, but they say you could certainly get a lot of tacos with that kind of money.
Manager Kenny Lindsey agrees, "Our menu is one of the cheapest!"
