The Times has a great piece on the appeal of the McNuggetini. Two sweet cocktail lovers have found their way to fame by garnishing a cocktail with a Chicken McNugget, and posting the videos on You Tube. Why is that appealing? Check this out:
One commenter on YouTube summed up their appeal: “Well-dressed cute girls mixing god-awful drinks? I can’t stop watching.”
We’re glad to see that the cocktail mavens have been expanding their ouvre. They’ve also attracted quite the following :
Subsequent videos for the Ham Daiquiri (which includes pineapple, rum, honey, liquid smoke and ham) and the Bloody Bacon and Cheese (vodka, tomato soup, grilled cheese, bacon) have been greeted enthusiastically from some hungry, sometimes libidinous fans. There have been marriage proposals as well as less gentlemanly suggestions, though neither video has been as big a hit as the original.
Surely the ungentlemanly suggestions have to do with mixing gizzards with bourbon. We need to get our butt on You Tube! Flu-tini, anyone?
