Here’s something we haven’t seen before. A New York website is offering a special Happy Hour card. If you flash the card at participating bars and restaurants, you can get specials not available to the general public. While it sounds kind of gimmicky, a look at their website (www.imnotatwork.com) reveals that significant savings are possible if you play your cards right.
The card costs $50, but right now is on sale for $25. You should be able to make that back in happy hour deals with your eyes closed (but not half closed like they are when you stumble home from the bar).
You just have to be strategic about it. If there aren’t enough of your favorite haunts on the list, you’ll probably want to skip this deal. If you frequent places like Johnny Utah’s ($5 margaritas all day), The Village Pourhouse (2 for 1 deals) and George Keeley’s (a free shot on Wed!) the card will be worth your while.
