And, how does the Four Seasons' garden grow?
With cockle shells, and blue . .oh, who knows, we drank too much sparkling Rose to rhyme.
We stopped by the opening of this tony spot's new lobby bar. The Garden sports four Acacia trees in the middle of the room. We tried to figure out how they water them. Perhaps with a bottle of wine from the list, which contains over 200 selections? We did hear a rumor that they'd open any bottle on the list for you, as long as you promise to purchase two glasses. Maybe they pour all the extra vino into the tree stands as nourishment. They have quite the list, so no wonder those stems seem so sturdy.
Like anything at the famed Four Seasons, a visit to this Garden will cost you. Stop in when you want some old school style luxury, and then head across the street for some offerings at BLT Steak. While wine may be able to grow the trees, you need some proper nourishment.
The newly opened Garden Bar is located in the Four Seasons Hotel, which is at 57 East 57th Street.
