During a Saturday night bar crawl on 10th Avenue, we noticed that neighborhood bar Conker Hill was closed.
We suspect that the spot, which was notable only for its 2 for 1 happy hour, bit the dust due to increased competition. Pony Bar is right across the street, and Bar Tini next door seems quite popular. Conker Hill was just another place to drink beer and play Buck Hunter, apparently not enough to draw them in these days. Especially on 10th Avenue.
Their Irish flag still flies outside. Maybe the cleaned out interior means they’re renovating? Just don’t get rid of the Buck Hunter!
Conker wasn't only notable for its 2 for 1 happy hours - the place had a real family-vibe to it...I was proud to say that was the first bar I ever considered myself to be a regular at - they also had a great trivia night (every wednesday) and a comedy night (every other tuesday).
I used to make the trip down from 100th street where I live to hang there.
oh well.

I being there and was amazing, the food wasn't expensive. Some people think they are the best in the city, the thing here is to go and visit the place and then eat and drink something good and healthy.
