We love when a study confirms what we’ve known all along. Alcohol makes you happy. That’s not quite what a group of Norwegian scientists found, but we’ve had 6 vodka tonics and are too happy to figure out what they’re actually talking about. Take a look:
Abstaining from alcohol consumption is associated with an increased risk of depression, researchers in Norway found. A study showed those who reported drinking no alcohol during a two-week period were more likely than moderate drinkers to report symptoms of depression.
Not too shabby. Maybe these delusions of joy that we’ve been experiencing all these years are (gasp) actual happiness. We don’t need Prozac, just a 2 for 1 happy hour.
