The East Village’s Belcourt, home to one of the city’s best off-the-radar Happy Hours, just announced a new cocktail list. To spruce up their list, they enlisted Richard Ervin, a snazzy bartender who’s worked at Craft, The Tasting Room, and with chefs like Morimoto. The drinks are heavy on the classics, and use only freshly made mixers and garnishes (including bitters and cola).
You may remember that we stopped by their Oyster Hour a few weeks ago, and came away a fan. A selection of cocktails is half price from 4 – 7pm, and they have a fancy list of oyster munchies to soak up the alcohol. You can stretch out your last $20 at their outdoor cafe (because, aren’t we all down to our last $20?). It’ll get you two potent cocktails plus a yummy oyster treat. Cash for getting home? That’s your problem.
The new drinks on the list include a few Collins mixers, classic Lime Ricky’s, a Moscow Mule made with Tito’s Vodka, and a twist on the Old Fashioned (poured with Pyrat Special Reserve Rhum instead of Bourbon).
Take a peek at the Oyster Hour Menu, and figure out how to spend that $20 most efficiently.
