Guns Legal in Bars / Cocktail Winner at Sushi Samba

-This week, laws in Arizona and Tennessee went into effect that legalized guns in bars. The only catch? If you have a gun on you, you have to stay sober. Some northerners might call the combination of weapons and booze pig headed, but some southerners might shoot those northerners in the ass.

-Guest of a Guest stopped by the Leblon / Sushi Samba Cocktail Competition and took some fun photos. The winner was bartender Cedric Hosy, who came up with a cucumber caipirinha that wowed the judges. Wait – it was a Brazilian spirit, so it made the judges go “ayayayayaya!”

-The New York post has word that cocktail lounge The Stone Rose might move from its perch in the Time Warner Center. We find that disappointing, as it's one of the only places for a decent drink in the neighborhood. Now we’ll just have to go to the horrible dive bar Lincoln Park. Wonder if they’d fill our beer mug with a martini.
