Last week’s NY Guido Brewfest was such a success, that Barfly plans on heading to more of these “event” things. We adore the glorious and alcohol soaked life that we live – but figure it’s a good idea to get out of the apartment every now and then (plus, our floor is so sticky from all of the alcohol-soaking).
This week – we decided that we were feeling charitable. We’ve already opened up two intern positions for former employees of Lehman Brothers (task number one = get a mop and do something about that puddle of triple-sec in the corer).
Better yet – we decided to attend a charity themed event this Friday evening. Morton’s is hosting a tequila and hors d’oeuvres gig – with the proceeds going to the Make a Wish Foundation.
The Midtown Steakhous will be serving drinks made with Don Julio tequila and a selection of appetizers. We’re pleased to report that the crowd promises to be more upscale than the one at NYBrewfest – there should only be one or two roving bands of meatheads. Better yet, the charity is right on point. We constantly wish for tequila and appetizers to kick off the weekend, and now that wish has finally come true. Check out the flyer and join us (if you are interested in one of those intern positions, please send a list of all mopping-related skills ASAP).
