Drink of the Week: Keg Beer and Comedy with FUCT
This weekend, we sipped on a concoction brewed up by New York Comedy troupe FUCT. Their recent show, As Seen on TV had all the ingredients that make a proper Barfly blissfully punchy.
As in their last show – there was free beer and naked asses galore. On this go-round, they upped their game – moving the show from a diluted gin-and-tonic to a straight up martini. Acrobats, videos, puppets, musical numbers – what more can a sophisticated theatergoer ask for?
Quiet Drunky – we already said there was free beer – there is nothing else you could possibly want (you glorious drunken glutton).
Gentle reader, it is imperative that you head to the Cherry Lane Theater for the show’s final weekend – there is no telling when a beverage like this may be served again. We’ve done our best to provide you with the recipe, but we think its best that you leave the pouring to the professionals.
It may not seem obvious, but judging by this troupe, it really does take $300,000+ in theatrical education to make that naked ass funny in just the right way.
Drink Recipe - FUCT As Seen On TV:
1 New York theater space
7 comedic actors of various shapes, sizes, sexual orientations, and racist tendencies
1 Keg of Swill (i.e. Miller Light)
Packed audience full of perverts, loose women, drinkers, and various other cool kids
Gather “actors” in theater. Be sure the sluts and alcoholics in the audience know that there is free keg for everyone. Watch skits, some involving dildos. Get swept up in the show – hilarious, unexpected, and titillating. When combined with the perfect amount of keg swill, this may be one of the best theatrical experiences on this side of Drunktown.
NOTE: If you’re in the mood for an aperitif – head down the block to Barrow Street Pub, enjoy a cocktail, and throw yourself at one of the cast members (who gather here after the show). If you think the women in the audience are the definition of loose – you haven’t met these thespians . . .
You can’t get drunk on theater unless you buy tickets. Be sure to pick up this crucial ingredient here!
